BIO.

Born Jannine Warrington in Stockport UK, 1970, married 1991 taking her marital name of, Jannine Burgess. Being an only child, growing up often enjoyed immersing herself in drawing and creating from an early age. Once married, had a child, it was forgotten for sometime until she moved with her family in 2013 to Rural North Shropshire, where she took up a local art class and reignited the passion.

Jannine is a visual, mainly self taught artist, concentrating in oils, she takes inspiration from the world around her, the love of nature and the outdoors including the people she passes in the street, music and stories playing a part taking her dreams and imagination and transferring them to canvas, where she is most happy exploring a semi surreal feel in her artwork, she plays with the light and shadows in many of her pieces.
Jannine enjoys exploring the unknown of where her mark making and imagination leads her, watching creations emerge from mark making, exploring deep into her imagination and curiosity of life, translating dreams, fears and meaning to canvas. Also having a curiosity in the world of Greek Mythology and interpreting this in her own style.
